C82 The Bloodthirsty Gus

C82 The Bloodthirsty Gus

0Just when Ning Qianyu thought that her life was over, the person simply bypassed her and left. The shadowed figure left her line of sight, and she couldn't help but furrow her eyebrows in confusion.

Although startled, she headed towards he clubhouse.

It was a coincidence that the person was also heading in the same direction. Twisting her wrists, she could simply lower her head in response, not wanting to disturb him even further.

The man was walking around ten meters apart from her, but she still didn't say another word.

As they were heading closer towards the clubhouse, the lights on the billboards shone brighter and brighter. They streamed over their head, and she caught a glimpse at the dazzling diamond earrings pierced into his ear.

Before she could say anything, the figure flashed into the darkness.

"Wha–" She blinked, looking at the spot where she had last seen him.

Although his tall and lean figure was nowhere to be seen, she did see a faint puddle of blood on the pavement where he once stood. Glancing back, she could see trickles of blood painting the ground.

"Was he injured?" Ning Qianyu pursed her lips. Seeing as he really was nowhere to be seen, he gave up and walked straight towards the clubhouse.

Stepping into the hall, she took the elevator.

Leaning against the wall, her mind was still clouded over by the bloodstains she had seen in the entranceway.

"Did those bloodstains belong to him?" At the thought, she immediately shook her head. The man had already arrived at the clubhouse before she did, and from the way he was walking, he didn't look as if he was showing any signs of injury. "But still...it does seem sketchy."

"Or the bloodstains were already there." Shaking her head, she could only wait for the elevator to reach her floor number.

When the elevator doors opened, she got out and looked around.

The entire corridor was very quiet, probably because it had already struck midnight. This time, Ning Qianyu wasn't in the mood to appreciate the brightly lit corridor as she moved her way in the direction of their suite.

She was moving as quietly as possible when she heard a soft pained groan coming from the inside.

Was something wrong? She glanced at the slightly closed door and continued to move forward. However, just as she was about to enter another room, she stopped and retreated back to the room where she heard all the ruckus. The door was opened from the inside, and a cold face entered her line of sight.

"You..." Her gaze landed on the familiar earring on his left ear.

It was him!

At that moment, she noticed the left hand clasping the handle of the door. His right hand, however, was clutching a white towel over his abdomen. The dark red pooled under the towel, and her eyes widened.

He was injured!

Ning Qianyu didn't have time to think about how this person had been injured before she was pulled into the room. Before she could even speak, the door closed behind her, but she didn't scream.

Instead, her hard gaze fell on his wound. "Don't move," she instructed as if she was in an emergency room. "The blood flow's strong here, so we should do something to stop it." When he had pulled her inside, the wound must've ripped once again, and she could see drops of blood falling out of it.

Seeing this, even the man couldn't help but pause in surprise and in pain.

Ning Qianyu glanced around the room and saw a medical kit on the coffee table. He had been cleaning his wounds a few minutes ago.

"I'll clean your wounds, all right? It might hurt a little, but please bear with it." She slowly removed the towel from his abdomen.

Her actions made him stiffen, but he made no moves to stop her. Even he couldn't understand why. If this were anyone else, he would've already had them killed. But there was something about her that made her stop.

Moreover, this woman had followed her into the clubhouse! He really should have her killed!

What was her purpose? Was she trying to get a rise on him? Seeing her approach him, he could only freeze and allow her to. After all, it didn't look like he meant any harm, right?

There, she could see a long cut from his chest to his lower abdomen. The wound was deep, and the blood continuously gushed out. Her eyes narrowed, and she immediately got to work.

"How did you get hurt?" she asked casually.

When he didn't answer, she added, "It's a glass cut, isn't it? You were sliced, weren't you? Why were you so careless?" With a sigh, she shook her head. "Even if I fix it, the wound's still wide. It's safer for you to get this checked out, okay?"

After cleaning the wound, she grabbed a needle and a thread.

"I don't have any anesthetic," she apologized. "So this might hurt."

The man pursed his lips in response.

Ning Qianyu inserted the needle into the man's skin. Although she could feel his muscles clenching and twisting underneath her arms, his face revealed no expression. It was as if he had already grown used to the pain.

She had sewn around twenty stitches, and the man still didn't make a sound. Not a whimper. Not a holler. Even then, she could tell it was painful from the way his forehead was drenched with sweat. "I'm almost done," she comforted.

Tying a knot on the end of the thread, she used a pair of scissors to cut off the excess. She took a deep breath. Then, she started wrapping it all up.

"Although I've already sown it in, you still need to go to the hospital tomorrow, all right?" After cleaning it up, she stood up.

The man didn't reply. Instead, he simply stared at her as if he was trying to figure her out. What was she going on about? He drummed his fingers on the side before he looked away.

Ning Qianyu didn't find it strange that the man didn't reply. Instead, she grabbed her bag from the sofa and turned away. "It's late," she stated, glancing at the clock. "I should head back and rest."

Seeing that the man didn't stop her, she bowed one last time and left.

Not long after she had left, a bald man dressed in a black suit jumped from the windowpane. "Young Master Gu," he said seriously, bowing his head. "Do you need me to get rid of her?"

Gu Si gazed at him. There was something about his eyes that made it seem as if he were a predator eyeing his prey. Even the bald man couldn't help but shudder in fear. "There's something different about her. She doesn't seem like any ordinary person," he slowly said.

When he heard Gu Si's words, the man shrank back. What the hell did he mean? Was he trying to say that the woman's background was far too complicated? That they shouldn't go against her?

Since when was he scared? Ever since he had come to work for him, Young Master Gu was never scared of anything! In fact, he could go against anyone with that steely gaze of his.

Even then, he didn't dare to refute him. "All right. I could bring Second Miss to take a look at you–"

"There's no need."

"But the wound's so deep. How about I fetch Second Miss to take care of it?" Just as he was about to say something else, the man had already brought his hand up in the air.

"I said no." His malicious eyes gleamed under the light.

"Of course, Young Master."

0

After what seemed to be a long time, he finally stood up. "Inform Long Hua. I want the Green Dragon Gang dead by tomorrow morning," he said firmly, crossing his arms over his chest.

He said it so easily as if he was just talking about what dishes they'll be serving for tomorrow.

"Of course, Sir." The bald man didn't even talk back as he left the room.

Gu Si lowered his head and stared at the newly wrapped wound. Slowly, his bloodthirsty and cold lips curved upwards.
