Extra 15: Dragon & Dragon Maids (31)

0Time continued to move forward, and a month flew by.

During this time, Kurama managed to observe a few curious things, such as Makarov's strange relationship with his family.

He had to admit that he was a bit surprised that someone as kind as the old guild master would have such a dysfunctional family.

His son had been kicked out of the guild for his unethical actions, while his grandson was a pretentious bastard.

Makarov was a saint, but his family seemed to have chosen the wrong path.

Everything would have been normal because this was not important to Kurama, however, everything changed on the day of the [Fairy Tail] festival, a time that Laxus, Makarov's grandson, used to try to take control of the guild.

Kurama would have ignored all this, however, his expression changed when he saw how the blond boy started insulting everyone present, especially Kanna because she was a hindrance to them.

Kanna gave him a blank look when she heard this and ignored him, which annoyed Laxus.

The blond boy quickly tried to scare the little girl, but she kept ignoring him.

Laxus couldn't resist it anymore, so he unthinkingly attacked the little girl.

Makarov tried to stop him, however, it was too late.

Without understanding how, he was flying through the guild wall.

Laxus' companions shouted in surprise, but quickly went along with the plan, then went after their leader to check his condition.

Makarov was devastated after seeing how his grandson was acting, more so when he saw how the girls were petrified, though to his relief, he saw Kurama solve this little problem.

The girls were confused because they didn't know what was going on until they remembered what had happened before anything else.

Lucy and Juvia, who had been training with Kurama, quickly went out to check that everything was okay. They were the strongest female mages in the guild currently because Mirajane was no longer working as a Mage, and Erza was off on a long term mission, so she could clear her mind.

Natsu and Gajeel, the new member after Juvia explained his situation and was allowed to join, tried to leave to hit Laxus, but were unable to do so because a strange barrier blocked their exit.

Gray saw this as he let out a laugh before running outside alongside Elfman to try to stop Laxus' minions because they had the "key" to disable the barrier.

After a few minutes, the barrier was broken, and Natsu and the others were able to get out.

They quickly went to Laxus to stop him from committing genocide, only to hear him insult them for being weak.

Natsu was furious to hear this because Laxus was stomping on everything that made [Fairy Tail], the strongest guild in [Fiore].

The battle escalated rapidly as Makarov watched everything with a look of desolation.

He was still unable to comprehend where he had gone wrong.

Kurama was watching everything from a distance along with his companions as [Fairy Tail] fought Laxus.

After a few more minutes, the battle had managed to end with a short victory for Laxus, who could only let out a laugh when he saw how the only one left standing from the guild, was his grandfather.

Laxus demanded Makarov give him control of the guild, but Makarov refused.

The young blond roared with fury at how despite all he had done, the old man still wouldn't accept defeat, so as a last measure, he threatened to blow up all [Magnolia].

Makarov continued to refuse because he knew that his grandson would never do something as cruel as that because he could still see his old self, but his expression changed when he heard the sound of an explosion in the distance.

The old man couldn't believe what he had heard, more so when the explosions were becoming more and more frequent.

Laxus was showing an impassive look as he told him it was all his fault for not accepting defeat when he should have, only to watch in terror as Makarov grabbed his heart before losing consciousness.

Without a second thought, Laxus ran to his grandfather to check his condition, but it seemed it was too late, he was dead.

Laxus lay still, unable to move a single muscle, as if the life was escaping his body as his hands trembled.

Slowly, tears began to well up in his eyes as he looked at the lifeless body of his grandfather, wondering if this was what he wished for.

Laxus weakly stood up and looked back, only to see Natsu and the others struggle to their feet and watch in terror, as they did not want to believe what they had seen.

Natsu began to cry as he furiously roared the blond young man's name and asked him why he had killed his own grandfather.

Laxus didn't know what to answer, so he quickly put Makarov down on the ground and stood on guard because he could feel the growing hostility of his former guild mates.

There was no turning back now, not when his grandfather's blood was on his hands.

The battle resumed, and did not end until a few hours later.

Laxus was breathing heavily as he watched the last of his former comrades, walking in his direction with a hate-filled gaze.

He was completely exhausted, with the corpses of all the [Fairy Tail] members.

Laxus could see the hateful expressions of all the people he had known for much of his life, as he wondered if this was what he had wanted.

Natsu continued to move forward until he reached in front of him and asked him if this was what he had wanted, to see how not only his grandfather had died, but also the guild he had loved in the past.

Laxus screamed that none of this should have happened, but this was just the last attempts of a drowning man trying to stay afloat.

He continued to scream as he resisted the enormous guilt at the emotionless stare of Natsu, the same boy who had been constantly pestering him with battles.

The childish boy was gone, and now all that remained was a cold man who only wished to see him dead.

Laxus made one last effort and stood up to stand on guard for his final battle as Natsu rushed at him with his fists on fire.

The two mages quickly impacted their fists, creating a huge explosion that left everything around them blank.

When Laxus was able to react, he discovered that he was about to enter [Fairy Tail] along with his subordinates, and from the screams inside, he could hear that they were making preparations for the festival.

Freed Justine, his most loyal subordinate, asked him what was going on, but Laxus quickly replied that they would not go through with the plan.

His words confused the 3 wizards, but they still accepted his orders.

Laxus quickly told them to go inside because he had to do something first.

Freed, Evergreen, and Bickslow looked at each other before nodding and following his orders while Laxus looked to the side of the guild and ordered the man who was hiding, to come out of hiding.

Kurama quickly appeared in front of Laxus and asked him how the vision to his future went.

Laxus was silent before shouting at him to stop creating illusions, to which Kurama explained that he had not created any illusions, but had created a temporal anchor around him when he sensed his hostility, and how he had returned his consciousness to the past.

At first, Laxus didn't want to believe it, but slowly he began to think more and more about the situation and how his guildmates acted during this whole "illusion", and see how it all fit with what he knew.

Laxus wanted to remain impassive, but the fear that this was his future, made him ponder everything more carefully, so he asked the strange man in front of him, what he should do while ignoring that he had been the one who had knocked him out for a few seconds.

Kurama quickly told him how to move forward, or at least gave him a little guideline because it was Laxus' decision whether to accept his proposal or not.

Laxus was skeptical, but still decided to think about the situation.

Kurama did not rush him, he just waited for the young man to meditate because he knew that what he had experienced, was a massive reality shock.

Laxus remained silent, before asking Kurama if he could inform his subordinates that he would leave for a few days to think.

Kurama nodded calmly, before informing him that he would accept his request, though he did not promise him that his subordinates would not follow him after hearing that he had disappeared.

Laxus let out a laugh when he heard this before nodding because he knew this was something that trio of idiots would do.

With that said, Laxus quietly left, ending his first meeting with the strange white-haired man.

Kurama watched him leave without a word, though he had to admit he felt good about having done a good deed, though this he did for two reasons, one, Makarov was a good man, one who had suffered many losses, and two, because he could still see a bit of light in the young blond.

Kurama could only curse that some parts of his son's personality, had manifested in him over the years.
