0Thirty minutes later, the sounds outside the restaurant had ended, and only a sepulchral silence was present in the place.

Slowly the doors of the restaurant opened, revealing a silhouette as sharp as a sword.

He was wearing a black sleeveless jacket over an open purple blouse, showing his firm abdomen. A huge sword was resting on his back as he looked around with his sharp hawk eyes.

The man seemed to be searching for something, and upon seeing the pair his expression finally changed to a serious one.

"I knew I felt you, Boa Hancock," the man said as he narrowed his eyes and walked over to the duo.

"If I could sense you when you arrived, it is obvious that you would sense me with your keen senses, [Hawk Eyes], Dracule Mihawk" - Hancock replied calmly.

She in other circumstances would be terrified to meet this man, after all, he was much stronger than her, but now that she had her beloved, there was no fear of anything happening to her.

"If you knew I was here, why didn't you run away?" - Mihawk asked as he frowned - "I'm sure you know very well that the [World Government] has requested that we capture you if we find you."

"Oh, I know" - nodded Hancock calmly as a small smile appeared on her face - "But I'm not afraid of that happening, not with my beloved by my side."

Mihawk frowned when he heard this, and for the first time in the entire conversation looked at the man who had managed to move the heart of the [Pirate Empress], only to widen his eyes in terror at the sight of the albino.

At first glance, he was a harmless man, but one could sense the oppressive aura he was holding back if one looked closely. This was much easier to perceive for Mihawk, who had special eyes that allowed him to see things that others could not, but in Kurama's case, he only saw darkness, a deep abyss that seemed to have no end.

Sweat ran down the forehead of the [World's Strongest Swordsman] as he shook his head to get these thoughts out of his head.

"The [World Government] is screwed" - Mihawk muttered as he looked at the white-haired man - "I am sure of that."

"I can let them live for a little while longer, but I'm starting to lose my patience" - Kurama replied as he narrowed his eyes - "But that didn't seem to affect you, Mihawk"

"Right, I'm just working as [Shichibukai] because I found it annoying that those worms popped up every time I took a nap" - replied Mihawk as he decided to sit next to the pair - "Come to think of it, you look a bit like my old friend of mine"

"You have friends?" - Hancock asked as she sipped some wine.

"Yes, very funny" - replied Mihawk as he shrugged his shoulders - "[Akagami no Shanks]"

"Are you friends with that monster?!" - Hancock exclaimed as she stood up abruptly.

"You don't have to yell so loud, but yeah, I'm friends with that bastard" - Mihawk replied as he shrugged his shoulders - "I'm going to bother him once in a while I have the time."

"Now that you mention Akagami, I seem to remember that years ago he wore a straw hat very similar to the guy we saw running back and forth" - said Hancock as he started to think.

"I seem to remember how Shanks told me that he met a boy during one of his trips through these parts, and gave him his hat after saving him from one of those aquatic worms" - replied Mihawk as he poured himself some wine and began to remember - "I guess he is the heir to his will."

"If I heard right, Shanks was part of Gol D. Roger's crew" - said Kurama as he looked at his guest - "Do you know why he hasn't wanted to get the One Piece?"

"I was curious too and asked him the same thing" - replied Mihawk while frowning - "The problem is that he just answered me that it was a secret that Roger told him to keep until the time was right."

"Secret" - muttered Hancock as she frowned, only to shake her head - "Does it have to do with the [World Government's] order to destroy all [Poneglyph]?"

"There are rumors that Roger managed to discover the secret of the [Dark Age] during his trip to [Laugh Tale] thanks to the [Poneglyph]" - Mihawk said quietly because despite not fearing the [Marines], he knew that the [World Government] had forces in the shadows waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

"I guess that would explain why they attacked Ohara" - muttered Hancock as she frowned - "Those sons of bitches are worse than I thought."

Mihawk did not comment on this, although he had to admit that the [World Government] was slowly starting to show its true colors - "Better change the subject, tell me, what are they doing around these parts?"

"That we could ask you" - replied Hancock as he folded his arms - "Anyway, we are just exploring these seas, and then we will return to Amazon Lily to see what to do next."

"I see" - nodded Mihawk as he started to think - "Anyway, I guess that would be all for now, it was nice talking to you"

"Same here, maybe next time we meet, we can have something a little stronger" - said Kurama as he looked disdainfully at the wine, after all, this stuff did not affect him.

"Sounds like a plan" - nodded Mihawk as he stood up and walked away.

Today had been quite an interesting day because not only had he met a young man who had the potential to surpass him with the right training, but he had also managed to meet a man who caused him instinctive fear.

"I'm sure Shanks will find this interesting as well" - Mihawk said as his little boat sailed off with whereabouts unknown.

* * * * *

Two weeks had passed since Kurama and Hancock had been on the [Baratie], and presently, the two were visiting the last town before entering the [Grand Line] and the place where Gol D. Roger was born and met his end.

"Loguetown is a picturesque place" - said Hancock, who had decided to change clothes for one that showed less skin, after all, she had lost patience after being constantly devoured by the gaze by showing much of her breasts.

The beautiful woman was wearing a red one-piece dress with an open neckline that showed a few of her breasts.

"I know, but it's too gray for my taste" - Kurama replied while frowning.

People had a smile on their faces, but at the same time, they looked as if they were forcing their expressions.

"Maybe it's due to the exhaustive control of the [Marines]" - Hancock replied with disdain - "Those bastards use their power to put pressure on the locals, or at least it was like that until Smoker arrived, or so I heard from one merchant"

"No matter how much I hear it, the [Marines] are getting worse and worse, or at least the vast majority of them" - Kurama said as he frowned.

He had seen and heard many things about the [Marines] during his travels, and while some were good, the vast majority were bad.

That left him thinking that maybe pirates weren't so bad, but after seeing what they caused, it led him to the conclusion that the world, in general, was rotten, leaving only a few as heroes or good people.

"Let's go see the guillotine, buy supplies and get out of this place, I'm not in the mood to continue visiting tourist spots anymore" - Hancock said while frowning.

Kurama was right, this place was too gray for her taste.

"Ok" - Kurama nodded but stopped when he felt a presence slowly approaching, and from what he could sense, he was strong, maybe equal or superior to Mihawk, he wasn't sure, after all, this man wasn't showing signs of his strength.

"At last I have the honor of meeting you, unknown man" - the hooded man said as he looked up, revealing a face with a huge tattoo covering much of his face.

"Monkey D. Dragon" - said Hancock with a frown - "What is the great [Revolutionary] doing in this place?"

"I've come to make sure that things continue on their natural course" - Dragon answered mystically, only to concentrate his gaze on the albino - "And incidentally take this opportunity to invite you to my little group."

"The [Revolutionary Army]" - replied Hancock as she narrowed her eyes.

"Exactly, the only force that is currently openly opposing the [World Government]" - Dragon replied while frowning - "Those bastards are slowly killing the world, and we are the only ones who can stop them, that's why we need all the help we can get."

"And what will happen when the [World Government] falls? You'll take over as its new leader?" - Kurama asked disdainfully.
