In the original story Uchiha Madara uses Great Fire Annihilation but only when several water ninjutsu unite can they resist attack of Madara . Furthermore the power of Great Fire Annihilation is far stronger than ordinary fire ninjutsu !     

So it is impossible for an unprepared ninja group to survive this attack.
