Tricking My Cold Lover

The Tiny, Pinky, Dust-sized Blister

The Tiny, Pinky, Dust-sized Blister

0It was Monday morning when Anton and Yanmei arrived in Korea. Anton went straight to work, first heading to the old gun factory.

Yanmei, on the other hand, had to stay home to rest. Her body was completely sore, and she ended up catching a cold following their extreme exercise in a yacht.

As a result, Yeona did most of the work back in JKW Investments.

Yanmei and Yeona were preparing to leave for Hongkong in two weeks, attending the PacfiicAStar's regular meeting. Yanmei determined that it was her time to travel to Hongkong after years of her husband attending the meeting.

It was because Yeona was extremely busy that she did not have time to get food for lunch. She remained to stay at her desk until Iseul came by to give her a pack of her favorite sandwich.

"The Mrs. told me to bring you some food," said Iseul, handing out a sandwich while holding other bags in his hand.

Yeona pursed her lips and said, "Thank you, Iseul."

"You are welcome, Yeona," said Iseul. While he may have ended their conversation, Iseul did not leave Yeona's side. He merely stood there in front of her.

His actions made Yeona giggle and said, "Iseul."

"Yeona." His only answer.

"Iseul, have you eaten lunch?" Yeona asked.

He shook his head and said, "I have not."

"You could have at least brought food for both of us. We could have eaten lunch together - "

Yeona's words were cut off by Iseul, taking the seat in front of her. He brought out the other pack and apparently; it was still food. He said, "I thought you'd never asked."

Yeona and Iseul indulged in their meals, having a little chitchat while they were at it. After they were nearly done, Yeona asked, "I - I did not see you this morning."

"Since the Mrs. did not leave the house, I did not have to come over so early," answered Iseul. "I - I only came with the Mrs. Instructions to bring you lunch."

Yeona frowned. She wondered how her boss could have known that she would not eat lunch. She said, "Well, miss. Yanmei is always considerate."

"She is," said iseul. The truth was, bringing Yeona lunch was his initiative, knowing she was busy for the day.

When Yeona and Iseul cleared her desk. They returned to their seats just... looking at each other. They were silent again for seconds until Yeona said, "Iseul?"

Iseul: "Yeona."

Yeona: "Thank you for lunch."

Iseul: "You are welcome."

Yeona: "It was delicious."

Iseul: "Hmmm... Yeona."

Yeona: "Iseul. What is it?"

Iseul just watched Yeona's flushing face and said, "I'm glad you liked the food."

Seeing other employees return to their desks, Yeona said, "I better get back to work. We might get caught by the boss waste precious minutes. Pfft."

Yeona meant for it to be a joke, but Iseul confidently answered, "There is no hurry. I am well connected."

Smiling from ear to ear, Yeona said, "I need to finish my work. I'm sorry, Iseul."

"Oh, sorry. Can - can I take you home tonight?" Iseul asked outright.

His request left Yeona wondering, and she answered, "Okay."

"Can we walk? Walk to your apartment?" Iseul sincerely asked. He recalled how the boss walked Yanmei home to spend more time with her, and he meant to do the same.

Seeing the puzzled expression on Yeona's face, Iseul explained, "I don't have to bring the car today because the Mrs. isn't here and the boss is at the gun factory."

"I supposed that is fine, Iseul," said Yeona in response.

"We could grab dinner on the way too," added Iseul.

"Yeah, I guess that's fine too," said Yeona.

Only after confirming an assumed dinner date did Iseul got up from the seat in front of Yeona and left.

Yeona was left dumfounded following her lunch visit. Despite having so much work to do, she pondered on their silly conversation and looked forward to her dinner date.

From behind Yeona, some of her co-workers reported to May Lin Iseul's visit to their office floor. Hearing about this, May Lin was set to ruin whatever sparkle there may be between Yeona and Iseul.

In the afternoon, May Lin purposely checked on Yeon, and seeing her still busy, she went down to set in motion her plans.

It was already past six in the evening when Yeona came down from the office building floor. She did not see May Lin, but the latter had been waiting in the sitting lounge of the lobby, eyeing her arrival.

When May Lin saw Yeona. She rushed to Iseul, standing by the building door.

Right when May Lin was next to Iseul, Yeona saw everything that happened, up to the very last detail.

May Lin acted to slip on the floor, hoping to hold on to Iseul's strong arms. However, to her dismay, Iseul just watched her. He waited as she slipped down to the floor, landing her behind.

"Aaawwwww. Shhiiit! Awwwww!" She ended up groaning in pain, thinking her hips might have been broken. She sobbed and said, "Iseul! Iseul! How could you miss catching me?!"

Iseul frowned and although he did not see Yeona, he answered May Lin, "I - I never meant to catch you from the very start."

May Lin acted to cry. She could not believe Iseul and how ridiculously less of a gentleman he was. Her first plan was to get Yeona jealous, but since her act failed, she determined she could at least make Iseul feel responsible for her slipping on the floor.

"Iseul! You have to help me, please! This was all your fault!" She insisted, covering her face with her hands as if she was helplessly crying.

Iseul shook his head. He leaned down and gave his hand, helping May Lin up.

With her hand being held by Iseul, May Lin gave a weak smile and said, "Iseul. Thank - thank you. Can - can you help me go to the hospital? Please?"

Iseul nodded and said, "Sure." He turned to the other security and said, "Can you call the Janitor? Have him bring Miss Lin to the hospital!"

"I can bring May Lin, sir," offered one of the guards.

"No, it has to be the Janitor. We need to secure the building," reasoned Iseul.

The shock on May Lin's face was beyond recognition. She felt so hurt for what Iseul suggested, she immediately fixed her stance and said, "Nevermind! I'm fine!" She adjusted her skirt and her hair and said, "I'm fine! I don't need a janitor to bring me to the hospital!"

From behind them, Yeona was giggling at the drama before her. She knew too well the show was meant for her. It just had to be. Then, a great idea crept into her head. She exclaimed out of the blue, "Ouch!"

Yeona took off the shoe from her left foot and looked up to Iseu. She said, "Iseul, I have a tiny, pinky, dust-sized blister on my foot because of my shoe!"

"It's just a little painful, but I don't want to walk." With puppy eyes, she asked, "Iseul, can you carry me home, please?"

It was more than just a pleasure for Iseul to carry Yeona out of the office. He acted without responding, sweeping Yeona off her feet and into his strong arms.

Yeona purposely hugged Iseul tightly and put her arms around his neck. From Behind Iseul, she glanced at May Lin and said, "May, you should have the janitor bring you to the hospital. Yours look more serious and painful."
