Purple let out a deep sigh at the newly named unconscious state of Shao Cheng.
"Even without memory, you are such a troublesome person."
MiBai continued to messily chug down the wine jar in his hand before giving a casual glance to the purple dragon after putting down the wine jar. His eyes narrowed with comfort, before waving away at the noisy creature that had suddenly gotten closer to his face.
"... Noisy."
"Ahhh, why are you so annoying in this state?"
Purple puffed out his cheek in his annoyance with his small claws making a movement of wanting to claw the delicate face of the young man before him.
"Come on, let's go meet the three beauties from before. I'm sure you are more aware and attentive this time around."
You are even speaking now instead of remaining quiet.
After Purple put his Papa bug's true consciousness into a deep sleep by using his power, only this blank state with only the skills, experience, and instincts was left, and was given the name MiBai.
Which fully explained and described his current state of mind with the meaning of his name, confused, and blank.
Of course, the word Bai also meant white, which reminded Purple of his Mama bug's nickname for his Papa bug.
Honestly, Purple is far better at choosing names, unlike his Papa bug.
He was named Purple because of his color.
The perverted rabbit was named Pinky because his fur is an eye-catching pink.
Even the newest addition to the bug children is named Goldy, because of the tiny gold dot in the middle of his forehead. At least, he wasn't named red because that was the color of the baby snake's entire body.
The only one who got a good name was the chubby wolf cub, Chen Yu, who was in large part named by their Mama bug.
So yeah, Purple's papa bug doesn't have a skill in naming.
Though at least, purple is a majestic color, deserving of his existence.
"Wait, what are you doing?"
Purple instantly refocused his attention on the young man who went to the river to fish instead of continuing their journey to the City of Shantai[1], the place that the Shao family had been taking care of for every generation.
And where the retired people of the main branch of the Shao family ended up going after leaving the Chang Capital.
Of course, as for those blood-related people who end up being removed from the Shao genealogy because of the unusual tradition of only letting the chosen head to remain, were still welcome to stay in the fief land.
However, it was mostly those people who didn't mind about the unusual tradition of the Shao—cutting off members and leaving only one person to continue on the family legacy—that stays.
Those who weren't content and had their own ambition choose to walk their own path, one could say, there are countless unknown blood relatives of the Shao family out there.
Honestly, it should be confusing tracking down all the people the Shao Family is related to.
But with how marriage was during the ancient times, along with having the same surnames in the Capital without blood connection at all, so those cut-off relatives don't matter one bit.
Each aristocratic family's focus is usually on the closest members that still have their names in the family's genealogy and those that have influential allies.
Because once cut off in the genealogy, they could ignore each other without worrying about other people pointing them out about morals and injustice.
"... MiBai, you shouldn't use your power like that."
Purple's eyes twitched when he saw how the young man had used his purple aura to seduce those pitiful fat fish in the river instead of trying to catch them the normal way.
Such a lazy ass and an abuser of power.
And when the young man had skillfully started cleaning up the fish, removing the gills and scales, then cutting open the belly to remove the organs. Well, Purple can only give up and float closer with a resigned look on his face.
"Why are you always hungry?"

At least the young man still had his talent for cooking delicious food with no memories.
Purple once again let out a sigh while lying down next to the large stone in the river, watching as the young man grilled the fish on the hot charcoals, turning it once in a while.
"Brother Purple… this is so nice. I didn't know it would be this fun outside the Capital… I would have remained ignorant if I had remained hidden and didn't go outside the comfort zone of my Big sis's territory."
Purple turned his attention to the baby snake that had taken a break from being a wrist accessory and had slid at the bottom of the rock he was laying down on.
"I'm really happy to have met all of you."
Not only do I have a big sister, I now have a papa, a mama, and three older brothers!
Goldy's small red eyes curved up while making hissing sounds. Of course, it would be better if they didn't surprise him all the time and make him cry.
He isn't a crybaby.
And it's also normal to cry at his age since he is still a baby snake, just wait for him to grow up and he will stop crying all the time.
"Of course!"
Purple's black heart was filled with warmth before helping his baby brother up the rock and putting him down on his side before gently patting him with his tail.
The purple and red scales looked beautiful as they shone because of the sunlight causing MiBai to squint his eyes while making sure the grilled fish wouldn't be overcooked and burned.
… Those two should taste delicious…
That terrifying thought quickly flashed across MiBai's mind before being followed with disappointment since he felt like he shouldn't do it, especially when it comes to the beautiful red snake.
Well, there should only be less meat if he were to cook the baby snake, not enough for him to swallow, but as for the purple dragon that could change his body size… hmm…
Noisy or not, his consciousness told him not to, especially when the annoying creature is also his partner.
Fortunately, aside from the lazy look in MiBai's eyes, most of his expressions remained emotionless, thus saving the two ignorant creatures, who were having a siblings' moment, to remain clueless about their Papa bug's terrifying thought of eating them.
So while the two creatures chatted with each other, MiBai sat with a lazy posture in front of the fishes being grilled on the stick, his dazed eyes staring into the distance, seeing nothing.
He remained calm and indifferent even when in a matter of three minutes an injured young man appeared on the opposite side of the river, before being followed by a group of people emitting murderous auras around them.
After all, he had detected their presence a long time ago, even before he heard the noises around or sensed the killing intent in their direction.
"Oh god, Papa bug's trouble-magnet physique is acting up again."
Purple floated up while wrapping his tail around the baby snake and flying toward a tree in order to let his baby brother hide from danger.
"Hey, MiBai! React to the danger in front of you and ignore the food!"
And yet, the blank young man cared more about the grilled fish instead of the fighting going on at the opposite riverbank.
Even when two people in the murderous group suddenly went in his direction, surely wanting to silence him because of seeing them hunt the other young man down or take out any trouble that might come their way.
"AHHH!!! Honestly, don't worry about the food! Just quickly deal with them and I'll even guard it for you!"
