Extra 13: We are Pirates ~! (40)

0"Leave your sarcasm aside, if you have no way to help" - said Aokiji neutrally.

"Come on, Kuzan, don't be so childish" - Doflamingo replied, only to feel an ice stake touching his neck - ". . ."

"One more word and I promise you that the [Shichibukai] will have one less member" - Aokiji said neutrally as he resisted the urge to impale Doflamingo.

"Calm down, Kuzan" - Sengoku said with difficulty as he tried to sit up, only to groan in pain - "We shouldn't continue attacking each other."

Aokiji was silent for a few seconds before shooting one last hostile glare at the [Shichibukai].

"I never thought I would die because of my subordinate, and not my enemies" - said Sengoku, who seemed to have aged a few years - "Maybe I should have been more decisive, and accepted your stance, Kuzan, after all, of the three of you, you are the most neutral, and the fairest."

Borsalino, or as everyone called him, Kisaru, only kept silent because he knew he was speaking the truth.

Aokiji sighed regretfully as he thought that maybe it would have been all better if he had stood up to Akainu much earlier for his very radical stance.

"Maybe there is a way to help him" - Mihawk said with boredom.

Aokiji and the other marines, glanced at the World's Strongest Swordsman, waiting for the continuation of his words.

"It's simple, Kurama was able to heal [Shirohige]'s illness with utmost ease, that means he could save Sengoku if he so wished" - continued Mihawk as he shrugged - "I wouldn't even be surprised if he could grow [Akagami's] arm as well."

Luffy's eyes widened in surprise as he looked regretfully at the severed arm of his role model, only to sigh regretfully as he remembered how it had all happened.

"Are you still blaming yourself for the loss of my arm?" - Shanks asked as he gave the straw-hatted boy a firm smack on the head - "Idiot, if I had wished it, I wouldn't have lost my arm so easily."

"Then why did you do it?" - Luffy asked as he bit his lip, ignoring the pain of the punch Shanks had given him.

"Because I saw something in you, Luffy, something that reminded me of my past" - replied Shanks as he closed his eyes - "I sacrificed my arm not only to save you but also to give you the courage to pursue your dreams, your destiny"

Those present looked at each other in confusion.

Only Ivankov opened his eyes in surprise because he understood [Yonko]'s words, after all, he had heard something similar coming out of the mouth of his best friend, and leader, Monkey D. Dragon.

The members of the D clan were always surrounded by mysteries and had fantastic destinies, but the most ironic thing was that they were always connected in one way or another.

"Fate" - Luffy muttered as he frowned because he honestly didn't like the sound of it.

He hadn't started his journey to fulfill his destiny, but to have hundreds of adventures together with his friends, so he could fulfill his dreams.

"I know how you feel, so I'll tell you just one thing, destiny can be changed by our own hands" - Shanks said with a smile - "Remember to follow your heart, and that will take you far."

Kisaru and Aokiji, remained silent as they listened to the conversation of those two, only to frown because the level of affection Shanks was showing for Luffy, was getting dangerously close to the level of respect he had for Roger.

"Is he Roger's heir, and not Ace?" - Aokiji wondered as he frowned, only to shake his head - "Never mind, right now we can't worry about invisible problems, never mind that [Straw Hat] is not a pirate harmful to the world."

"What are you thinking, Kuzan?" - Borsalino asked as he adjusted his glasses.

"Nothing serious, I was just thinking about how to get Kurama to heal Sengoku-san" - Kuzan replied as he watched the albino continue to fight Kaido on equal terms - "But I don't think he can hold out until those two are done."

Kisaru was silent for a few seconds as he looked carefully at [Shirohige]'s forces in the distance, only to glance one last time at Kurama - "I guess it's my turn to do something."

"What are you thinking, Borsalino?" - Kuzan asked with a frown.

"That I'd better go help Kurama to get this over with quickly" - Kisaru answered seriously as he disappeared from the place.

"Tch, those idiots" - Akainu growled neutrally as he saw how the marines had given up on the battle, only to glare hatefully at Aokiji - "When I'm done with this, they'll understand that their decisions were wrong."

"You're crazy, Akainu" - said Garp as he narrowed his eyes - "No matter how much you repeat it, there's no such thing as an 'absolute'! Absolute justice doesn't exist!"

"You're wrong, and I'm going to prove it to you, Garp!" - exclaimed Akainu as his eyes glowed madly - "Soon the world will understand that we are a necessary good, we are the light in this world full of pirate darkness!"

"You're acting like one of those pirates, Sakazuki!" - Garp shouted as his eyes turned blood-red - "Can't you see, look around you and you'll see how the marines who always looked at you with respect, now look at you with fear! Is that the justice you seek! Fear, hatred, betrayal! What part of all that is justice?!"

". . ." - Akainu was silent when he heard this as he felt his conviction waver a bit, only to shake his head and look at Garp seriously - "I see you're trying to do it. You wish for my will and my justice to waver, but that won't happen because my justice is absolute!"

"You have no turning back now, Sakazuki" - sighed Garp as his expression darkened.

Slowly, his muscles began to grow slightly as his Haki increased dramatically - "Let's see if you can keep your justice in front of MY justice!"

"I plan to" - Akainu replied neutrally as everything around him began to combust.

Slowly, the heat in the area increased, though this in no way affected the two combatants.

* * * * *

"Ugh" - Kaido doubled over at the pain of feeling a bomb impact his stomach, but to his annoyance, things weren't over.

Kurama quickly grabbed the man by the neck and threw him against the ground.

Kaido's body sank to the ground, and to his luck, he didn't manage to fall into the sea.

"That hurt" - muttered Kaido as he gritted his teeth - "THAT HURT LIKE HELL!"

The body of the stronger creature, began to expand, taking his dragon form again.

Without a second thought, he flew to the surface as he glared hostilely at the small human.

"Do you think that because you grew a few inches, you can look at me like that?" - Kurama asked disdainfully as his body began to glow.

Slowly, his silhouette began to expand into the sky.

10 meters, 20 meters, 50 meters, 100 meters, 300 meters, 800 meters.

Kurama's body had grown considerably as 10 huge tails appeared behind his silhouette.

"ROAR!" - the roar of a grim beast echoed through the place as everyone watched as a majestic 10-tailed silver fox, with strange tribal markings around its body, towered imposingly and glared at Kaido in its dragon form.

Kaido felt a deep terror when he saw the imposing creature looking at him as if instead of a dragon, he was nothing more than a worm.

He could feel how all the pride he had gained, was being pierced by a sharp, hot sword.

"B-Bastard!" - Kaido roared as he created clouds of fire around his body.

Kurama slowly opened his snout and absorbed all the clouds his opponent had created, only to release a powerful breath of black fire.

Kaido quickly flew as high as he could to try to dodge the attack, but to his surprise, his body didn't respond to it - "What's going on!!! ARGH!"

The hellish black flames slowly began to surround Kaido's body as he felt as if a potent poison was corroding every inch of his burly body - "ARGH!"

A sadistic smile appeared on the face of the huge 10-tailed fox as he glared fiercely at the blue dragon, only for him to slowly walk over to his opponent after a few seconds.

Kaido was in a cold sweat at the huge difference in powers, but his pride stood firm despite being constantly attacked.

He wouldn't bow his head for anything in the world, no more, having done it for his former captain, had been more than enough.

"I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED!" - Kaido roared as he reared up again and glared hatefully at the huge silver beast - "DIE!"

Without hesitation, he lunged at Kurama with bloodshot eyes as he opened his massive jaw.

Kurama watched this with boredom, before wagging one of his tails - "If that's all, I guess it's time to end this."

The beast's furry tail, slowly tensed and shot out at its opponent, all to the stunned sight of those present who couldn't believe what they had seen.
