117. Hidden Village in The Sand
"I don't know that you're here?"-Koza
"Really? I sent some captured people that almost sold as slaves to Katorea and ask your friends to help them a week ago."-Jon
"They haven't told me anything. So, why'd you call me?"-Koza
"I have a proposal for this Kingdom, and the higher ups have accept it. I want to make a spy agency in this Kingdom, or you could say a ninja force. I want to make a hidden village that will work behind the scene to protect this kingdom. Relying on the army is not enough, we need a force that can go everywhere and get anything."-Jon
"That's not an easy thing to do."-Koza
"Of course, everything need time, but we need to start faster if we want to finish earlier. The best candidate for this program is your ex-rebel army. They're trained to use weapons already, they just need more training. You will be the one that lead this force."-Jon
"Wh-what? Me?"-Koza
"Yeah, you're the best candidate, everyone trust you enough to lead something like this."-Jon
"He is right, you will be the perfect leader for this new force."-King
The King suddenly come inside the meeting room. Then, they persuade Koza for sometime before he finally agree. Then Jon ask him to gather the ones that he trust and want to join this force. Thet will gather tomorrow and Jon will do a screening first before they are allowed to join.
After Koza leave, Jon go back to his training. He need to raise his water & earth mastery fast, so he can use Wood style. His chakra also haven't increase significantly after raising like rocket some months back. It seem to be an after effect of his new gene modification.
The day pass by and the next day, Koza come with many people. There are about 200 of them that want to join and Koza trust them enough for this. However, Jon need to do a last check on them.
Jon then call them to a big tent that he asked the guards to prepare before. Then he make 10 clones and call the ex-rebels one by one. His clones do a checking with genjutsu like hypnotize. He is not a genjutsu expert like Itachi, but to do it on some normal people with clones are easy.
Jon let his clones work while he call Koza and some ex-leaders that also decide to follow Koza. He gather them in a room inside the castle and did the same to every one of them. But he do it after telling them first, because he need their trust if he want to work with them.
"Alright, so you guys must know that this force is special, secret & trust is our breath in this force. I want to make you guys the leaders in this new force, but i need to know that i can trust you."-Jon
"Come on Jon, you can trust them."-Koza
"Don't be naive Koza, i've seen many betrayals even from a close friends and believe me, it's not a pretty sight. I will only believe what i see and what i hear myself, instead of other's words. So i will do an interrogation on each of you, one by one while the others will watch. I want us to know each other and can trust each other for good."-Jon
"Alright, i have no problem with that. As an ex-rebel, it is understandable for people to have doubt on us."-Farafra, a big man that lost his right arm say firmly.
The ones here are Koza, the leader of ex-rebel army. Erik, a tall guy with pink hair and wearing black hat. Farafra, the guy with big body and lost an arm. Okame, a slim girl with blush make up and bring a sword. The last one is Kebi, a guy that always wear a goggles. Everyone here except Farafra are Vivi's childhood friends. There is someone named Natto too, but he didn't join them.
Jon then use genjutsu on them for hypnotize purpose. He do it one by one and didn't find any problem after asking many questions. He's relief and he start to assign their part of jobs.
"We will build a hidden village, which will be named Tsunagakure no Sato (Hidden Sand Village). The leader will be Koza, with the title of Kazekage. Okame, i want you to help Koza as his assistant. Kebi will be responsible for work in the Kingdom's territory. Erik will be responsible for work on other islands. Farafra, i want you to be the one that take care of the new bloods recruitment. We will need some more people for other parts, but that can wait."-Jon
"How about the training?"-Koza
"I will train you all in this 2 weeks before i leave this place. I will leave all ninja manuals so you can train after i leave. We will not operate till next year, so you can train in this year. You guys will train too, no need to think about your jobdesk. The priority is getting stronger. Your strength is nothing in this world, you should know it from Crocodile incident."-Jon
"Alright, we will focus on training this year and will operate after you permit it."-Koza
"Good, and i want you to always keep an eye in underworld or market for any devil fruit. They're valuable resource, and the King agree to buy some fruits for us."-Jon
"That's fine, but who will eat the fruits?"-Koza
"We can discuss that later, we don't even have a fruit now. Let's check the screening result on those people."-Jon
They leave the room and go to the screening area. They see some people are being tied in front of the crowd. Jon come before the last batch of the applicants finish their screening. His clones dispelled and he get all the memory.
"GUARDS! Bring them to the jail!"-Jon
The guards come and bring the ones that tied in the front to the jail.
"What are you doing?"-Koza
"They're undercover spies from underworld. They are sticking in your group to gather information. This is a chance to enter the castle for them, so they won't let it pass. We will extract some information from them, maybe you guys can join later to know how we do it."-Jon
"N-no, i'm good"-Kebi
Kebi refused, but the other agree. Jon didn't force Kebi to join, people will think that interrogation is torture afterall, and it's true in some cases. They will do the interrogation later, for now they need to explain everything to the ones that being accepted.
Jon then proceed to explain everything to them. Everyone get the gist of it and ask many questions which Jon answer easily. Jon also grouping them based on their experience and speciality, like administration, fighter, and even inexperienced ones.
After they finished, Jon dismiss them and ask them to come tomorrow. They will train far from the city for the next 2 weeks, and they will not go back in that period. So now they need to go home and prepare everything they need.
After they dismiss, Jon take Koza and co, except Kebi to interrogate the ones that being captured. Usually, Jon will just use genjutsu to make it easier, but he need to teach the others how to do it, so he can't use ninjutsu. He will use the method that the CP9 use on Iceburg, as that is also a method in ninja academy.
Jon ask Koza first to feel the pulse and Jon will detect the lie with his sharingan. Jon ask many questions, and tell Koza which one is a lie and which one is truth. Then he ask Koza to guess the lie and truth after he ask the question. Koza's guess often miss, as this is his first time doing this.
Then the others also did the same like Koza to other prisoners. These spies are mostly from underworld that tasked to gather information in Alabasta and they join the rebel in the past. Jon then extract the information they got in Alabasta, and then decide to detain them for a lifetime, or make them do labors in mines.
Now the leaders know the importance of this job more after seeing the real spies. They also felt it when many spies from Baroque Works planted in their rebel army. They also need to know how to detect rats in their surrounding.
After finishing the interrogation, they have lunch with the royal family because the King want to know the progress of this program. Nothing notable happen, so the leader go home after the lunch. Jon also prepare for tomorrow, because he will be busier than before. He also leave the training menu for the prince & guards to Chaka, so they can train alone.
'I never thought that i will build a hidden village in this world. Even so, i'm not the Kage and i'm not planning to be one. I don't like being a leader, it will just take away my freedom.'-Jon
'You sure have different thinking with people from my world, especially my jinchuriki before you. They prefer peace instead of freedom.'-Kurama
'Well, our circumstances are different right? They are in a constant war era, while i live in peace era before. Beside, for me peace is what one feel in his heart, and my peace is by being free.'-Jon
'Heeh, then get me out of here, i want to be free too.'-Kurama smirk
'Come on, even if you can leave without getting both of us die, what do you want to do? Being a Pirate King?'-Jon
'Tsk, can't even take a joke.'-Kurama
'Heeh, can't even take a teasing.'-Jon
They banter back & forth while Jon lay on his bed until he sleep. The next day, Koza & all the to-be-shinobis come and they immediately go somewhere with Jon. Vivi also follow them after the discussion with the royals.
The King even decide that Vivi will be the one that connect the Kingdom with the village. So Jon also give Vivi a position as a Council member too with the others. She will be the advisor for Kazekage.
"It remind me of the past, right 'Leader'?"-Vivi
"Yeah, it certainly is."-Koza
"Is it about your playgroup?"-Jon
"Well, you can call it like that."-Koza
"It will be better if Natto also join us right now."-Vivi
"He have his own circumstances, and he have his own dream."-Koza
Sometime later, they arrive in a place with some big tents. These tents have been prepared by the Kingdom yesterday with Jon's instruction. This place is not too far or near from Alubarna, so it's perfect. They can train in open field without disturbing anyone, and supplies can come easily.
They immediately start their training, well, it's just basic body training and lesson about Ninja arts from Jon. He focus on teaching them that being a shinobi is hard. They will need to do dirty jobs and use cheap tricks to reach their goal sometimes.
Jon also distribute books about ninja rules, and skills like infiltration, stealth, information gathering, assassination, etc. These books contain normal skills that didn't require chakra usage. So it can be used by normal people, and they are actually being sold in shop.
The system said that there are shinobis in Naruto world that come from civilians without any chakra talent. They make their own version of ninjutsu using tools and tricks.
'I am lucky to get it this easily, or i would need to use my brain and convert all these ninja arts that use chakra into normal arts, which can take a long time.'-Jon
They continue their lesson, and with this, the ninja training has started.
