She ruined her mother's dress which pissed her off looking at her mother's favorite dress. Shin sat next to Kurayami silently as he looked at the mother of one of Kurayami's women,
Leto reached out and started to pet the thick black fur of Shin. The thing about his fur is that it could function as both blades, and a fuzzy material to cuddle with.
Kurayami just started the story as he ignored her glare. He wrapped his arm around her waist and sat her on his lap. He placed his chin on her head as he started the story.
All the while Artemis was embraced for showing this to her mother, but Leot just smiled at her.
"Before you start young man, I wonder when I will hold a grandchild from you daughter. I got many from Apollo, but none from you."
Artemis did not know what to say, but Kurayami started the story."
"Well, it starts off with an argument over a person I did not like at the time. I still don't see her in any good light."
Artemis remembered how harsh he was and now she understood. Still, he could have been a little less hurtful about it."
"More like you broke the poor girl."
"I would not have if she did not abandon Nico. Family is one thing that should be respected, not abandoned."
Artemis nodded.
"Yeah, that was my fault. I can admit that still, she is one of my hunters."
Leto blinked a few times as she looked at Artemis asking if it was true. She nodded as it was, but she did have part of the blame. After being in love with someone for the first time she changed her mind about many things.
"Well, when I first met her I was going to save someone who was part of Grigori. There we met two demigods, children of Hades. A girl named Bianca and a boy named Nico. She offered a spot in the hunt to Binanca, who abandoned Nico."
Artemis wanted to go back and hit her old self as she had changed since then. Leto grabbed her ear and pulled on like an angry mother. Kurayami was forced to let go as Leto was pulling that hard.
"You separated a pair of siblings? Really now, I thought I taught you better."
"Ow, sorry mother. I have changed."
Leto just pulled even harder and scolded her more.
"So? You should have thought about that at the time. Why are gods all so stubborn that it took a man to change you."
Kurayami was barely keeping from laughing as he rarely saw Artemis flustered. Leto let go of her daughter's ear and looked at Kurayami as she wanted to hear more.
"Well it was during the uprising of the Titans so the bane of Olympus was out. She figured it out but told nobody. At the time I thought she was kind of pretty and I was kind of interested in her. I even told her outright."
Artemis leaned on his shoulder and sighed as she remembered that.
"I ended up agreeing to give him a chance and he proved himself to me by fighting Ladon for my sake. He almost died and he saved the life of one of my hunters. Even though I never thought I could ever trust a man again, he came and swooped me off my feet."
Leto was glad that her daughter had managed to find love after so long. It was something she always kind of knew would happen as no one stayed the same for so many years.
Many things change, people come and go and like the planet right now. She knew Kurayami was to blame for the current situation, but she did not say anything. It was not her place to judge as long as he made her daughter happy
"Well, mother in law-"
"Call me Leto."
He nodded.
"Leto, after we split up she ended up captured by Atlas, so there was a big quest to save her. Honestly, if I wanted I probably could have saved her with minimal help."
Artemis had to agree.
"He is not entirely wrong, as he is now destroying the planet in one attack is easy. It is a miracle he has not done so already."
He just chuckled.
"Well, I got to make this world more interesting. Still, I am just evening the odds as the animals have been the ones getting the short end of the stick from human greed. I am just knocking them down a peg."
Kurayami stood up as he was done with the story. He looked at Leto as he gave her an offer.
"Well, I don't recommend staying here in the Underworld for more than 3 years as all the realms will fuse into the Earth. I recommend leaving early before the beast tides begin. Come with your daughter to Grigori where it will be safe."
Leto thought of it as she looked at her daughter. She sighed and nodded.
"I will accept your offer of. I will be able to spend more time with my daughter, but what of my son?"
Artemis was the one to answer that.
"He will be fine, we are getting married very soon. I will pretty make an alliance with Olympus truly, but they are friends."
Shin stood up as it was time to go home. He opened a portal to his home in the Underworld for now. At the moment it was one of the safest places to be, but it would not last.
He planned to move all of the Grigori sights to North Korea as it would become his future base. When they walked into his home several fallen angels rushed to his sight when they felt the space move.
"Governor-General, your back."
Kurayami nodded.
"I would like you to take Leto to a room. This place is not going to last and the castle in North Korea will be my future base."
They all knew he meant the castle Rebellion had made. It was a good castle as it had plenty of room, but at the moment it was being secured along with adding magic formations.
Once Leto was taken to a room, Kurayami whistled and Blitz appeared right next to him. He jumped on the horseback as a saddle appeared on the giant horses.
"Blitz, what is happening?"
The horse vanished as he had something he wanted to show Kurayami.
"Master, the beasts are growing in power. Watch this?"
He took Kurayami to the forest where devils took familiars from and just from a look it was a free for all. All manner of beasts were stuck in fights for territory and to the death as they were stronger and wanted more territory.
Too bad all the other beasts also grew with them so fights were more brutal and savage. Blitz started to walk in the forest as his aura kept all beasts away from them. However many beasts looked on at Kurayami with reverence.
His mere presence could make beasts stop fighting as he could tame most of them at a glance.
"Master, this is happening all over the Underworld. All magic beasts, monsters, and familiars are growing stronger."
Kurayami nodded.
"Good to know, take me back home Blitz."
The horse stood on his back legs as he turned around and ran back to Kurayami's old home. It was no longer going to be safe as it would be pointless to stay after the Underworld was fused.
After watching such scenes, Kurayami started to become a very busy person for the next month. He kept having meetings after meeting with human leaders and the pantheons as they needed his help.
Already more and more attacks started to happen all over the world. Several zoos had most of their animals escape and they started to attack humans. In California, the Polar Bear in the San Diego zoo escaped and started to cause havoc.
It had tripled in size and it caused freezing temperatures everywhere it went. A few elephant herds had also escaped and last he checked a few started to have a metallic property.
Not to mention tigers, lions and all manner of animals all escaped from zoos and started to make themselves at home. The magic was making them stronger, healthier, and smarter all over the world.
At the moment he was in Africa with Esdeath, Raynare, and Akeno. They were flying in the air as they gazed at a large honey badge the size of a bear attacking a company of soldiers.
All countries were raising larger armies as the beasts had already begun to show that they were here to stay. Africa, Australia, South America, Russia, and Canada were all having the worst issues as they contained huge amounts of wildlife.
Raynare saw how the animal was shrugging off the heavy fire without a scratch as it rushed at the men like it was mad.
"They are going to die."
Esdeath. agreed on that point as they just lacked the firepower to put it down for good. Even now its rubber-like skin was making even armor-piercing rounds bounce off.
"Honey Badgers were already vicious and it took a lot to put them down. Scale it up and it is obvious they don't stand a chance. Oh, they brought out a few anti-tank weapons."
Kurayami looked on as they brought out some RPGs to deal with the Honey Badger. They fired about 2 at it and they connected with the badger. The explosions shocked the badger as it felt its brain rattle.
Everything went quiet and the soldiers did not stop.
They fired mortars, grenades, and RPGs at it to make sure its state was dead. After a minute of fire. Kurayami glanced at where the badger was and they saw something that made him grin.
It was burned, bloody, and pissed. The badger's skin was full of huge wounds, and its eyes were bright red in pure rage. It kept charging at the humans and this time it dodged each and every grenade and RPG.
Not only that it was obvious that it was regenerating after the pounding they gave it. The convergence was faster than Kurayami thought it would as only 2 months in and already some animals were nearly bomb-proof.
Akeno looked at the badger as its fur was nearly all back.
"Can I have this one?"
Kurayami nodded.
"Sure, there are only 1,000 of them left or so."
Kurayami whistled and hearing that made the badger stop and lookup. All animals on Earth treated Kurayami like their master as it was his aura in their bodies. It was what made them evolve and by default they respected him.
He landed down in front of the company of soldiers who thought they finally had some supernatural backup. They waited for him to kill the badger, but the animal walked in front of Kurayami like a trained dog.
He looked at the soldiers as he smiled.
"Well good luck with him."
He pointed behind him where a giant rhino snorted and ignited. The fire burned on its armor-like skin and it started to pad the ground like a bull. The soldiers wanted to ask for help but the rhino already locked onto them.
It charged as Kurayami and the girls left them to deal with the angry rhino. He did help them as he took the badger as in some way the rhino would be a little easier. Too bad they all ended up dead and the rhino unscathed.
This was just one of the many calamities happening all over the world as the basic human technology was not cutting it. The animals started to adapt to be bulletproof as it was the great weapon of the humans.
