Tricking My Cold Lover

Geun's Goal

Geun's Goal

0It was shocking to Hanxi and to the Yeongs, even the Bianchis, learning what the Palermos decided on.

Maria's mother and father, outright, offered to give up their daughter's chances of bearing a child, suggesting that Maria would agree to remove her uterus.

They practically crushed her dreams of having a family of her own. It was no wonder their daughter acted carelessly.

The choice made Anton angrier that he instead went with an alternative solution. He could not let the Palermos get what they wanted after what they had tried to do to his firstborn princess.

Hanxi collaborated with Alonzo's family, finding solid proof of Maria's poisoning attempts of his girlfriend. It essentially put Maria behind bars. Of course, the Yeongs filed International litigations, covering Maria's undertaking to have Chan-Mi's uterus removed!

Maria's mother, Teresa, was also included in the international lawsuit filed.

While Anton took care of putting the Palermos in their proper place, Chan-Mi was busy resting herself in the days that followed, getting all the good hormones out from her body.

She took a halt from painting and let her marketing team did most of the work in selling copies of her pieces. Salvi even partly co-managed the sales of her work while she got spoiled at home.

Nari, also, took a leave from the company. Her stomach was growing, and she was starting to feel more pressure on her gut. Like Chan-Mi, she wound up being pampered, merely waiting for her day to end and chatting with Luiz during his free time.

Luiz had a sincere talk with Anton, and he agreed to come home in between his internship. In any case, he would have a week of break before moving to the next Michelin Star restaurant in Italy.

He received a good scolding and Anton naturally poured his heart out, expressing his dismay, but like as he agreed with his wife and daughter, he swore to be calm... while Luiz was away... at least.

In the meantime, while all this was happening, Geun had a goal to accomplish.

On one fine afternoon, Geun and Ara were at the Korean Driving Testing Facility for Ara's third attempt to pass the technical course. She meant to get her driver's license.

He had to pull some strings to get himself in the car's backseat, the same that Ara was supposed to drive during the test.

When Geun saw the instructor navigate through the computer GPS to assess Ara's driving, Geun asked, "Is that it, Mr. Wu?"

The instructor said, "Yes, sir. Mr. Yeong. This will evaluate Miss In's driving."

"Give me a second. Let me get into it," said Geun, while typing on his laptop. He purposely brought in his gadgets to ensure Ara's passing.

Ara wound up snorting at Geun's attempt. She learned how to drive from one of Geun's men at the base who was practically a race car driver.

Unfortunately for Ara, she could not get over the rush of speeding and taking immediate halts while behind the wheels that she failed on all three attempts in getting her driver's license.

"Okay, I have full control now," said Geun. "Don't worry, Mr. Wu. I got you covered."

The instructor forced a laugh, and he said, "I - I believe you, Mr. Yeong."

Turning to Ara, Geun said, "Please try to pass this one honestly, Ara. I don't have all the time in the world. How can you be my aid if you can't drive a car?"

"Don't worry, Geun. I got this," said Ara with narrowing eyes. She stuck out her tongue and added, "I practice with Xui the other weekend!"

Geun's mouth twitched. In as much as he wanted to believe Ara, it remains to be seen. Xui was the same person who taught her how to drive in the first place. He took a deep breath and said, "Let's go."

"Okay, I'll turn it on how and remember, you must start within thirty seco - Haaah!" Ara did not waste time. The second the instructor turned on the GPS computer device to measure her driving performance, she stepped on the gas!

Seeing a road headed to the right, she abruptly turned her wheels.

Going past a hump, she enjoyed the jumping motion. "Whohooo!"

Geun just rolled his eyes as he bounced in his seat. He sighed and said, "So much for passing naturally."

Ara was driving through a man-made driving course where her every move was supposed to be noted and rated by the GPS computer device. However, since Ara failed all three previous ones, Geun had to dictate its rating as she was driving.

Arriving at an intersection, Ara could see that the traffic lights were still green.

"Slow down, Ara," Geun instructed. "It's going to turn red."

However, Ara insisted, "It's still green!" She stepped on the gas and went past the green light, missing the yellow light in just a second!

On another route, Ara was expected to maneuver the car carefully into a small passage. She went at it with no inhibitions, turning her wheels and backing up until she had a clear path.

Ultimately, she did not bump the car in any way, only that, Geun and the instructor wound up being thrown from side to side as she reversed and drove back the car.

The moment she took a stop, parking the car, she did it so abruptly that Geun and the instructor bounced back and forth for a second.

Geun thought, his brains bruised over the bouncing he had been doing in such a short amount of time.

Droplets of sweat formed on the instructor's forehead. He gulped down and glanced at the computer device attached to the car. Then he read the review which said, "Congratulations! You Passed!"

"Oh, my God!" Ara exclaimed, turning to Geun. "Geun! I passed! Finally!"

From the backseat of the car, Geun was still shaking his head. He awkwardly said, "I knew... you could do it."

Officially, that day, Ara received her passing mark, and she was bound to get her license in two days.

As they walked back to Geun's car, she suggested, "Maybe I can drive us back?"

"No, you will never drive!" Said Geun. "You can just be my hitman as I drive on missions."

"Then? What's the use of me getting my driver's license?" Ara protested, stomping her feet as she caught up with Geun's brisk walking.

Geun turned to Ara and said, "Identification."

"But -"

"Tell you, what Ara. If you let me teach you how to drive, then you might actually do it right." Geun extended his hand to her and offered, "Let's have two months of driving lessons every after your school. It's a contract."

"Two months?!" She opposed. "Geun, it takes only a few hours to learn how to drive an automatic!"

"Ara, I tend to be very particular with my instructions. So two months is a must," said Geun. "Either that or I take back your passing exam, which I practically faked... Come on, Ara. It's just two months."

"Oh, fine! Gosh, Geun. I see you nearly every day. I feel like we are bound to swap faces soon enough!" Complained Ara as she hopped into his car.

Geun was left smirking, knowing he accomplished his goal for the day. While turning on the ignition of the car, he asked, "You mean swap names, right?"
