"Probably! But nothing is sure unless Mr. Feng confirms it or I stumble into another reason for this signal. Inform the forensics to investigate the brain of that man with different eyes. " She didn't have the heart to crush Junjie's hope but neither had she wanted to ignite any false hope in his heart.
However, her diplomatic answer was enough for Junjie to believe that one day he will get a normal happy family.

Before Feng Jinayu could say or do something else to stop Junjie he felt Xiu Mei's palm pressed at the back of his hand. She gestured him with her eyes to not say anything as it was a sensitive matter that has to be attended carefully.
With a small smile, she nodded at Feng Junjie, "I've no doubt about the authenticity of your research. But you've to agree with me that the human brain is complex, full of hidden mysteries, which is why doctors and scientists keep doing research on this complicated part of the human body. I might not sound good, but please don't tie big hopes because when they shatter, it hurts here..." saying she placed her hand at Junjie's heart and saw him pressing his lips into a straight line as he nodded his head. She equally nodded, "Good! Be strong for yourself and that hitler! Speaking of which.....where is he? Back to military base?"
It's been a while she has seen Feng Jin, and neither Feng Jianyu said anything about him after they had returned from Country B.
Judging by the sudden silence, her eyes scanned the three brothers who were obviously hiding something from her. She let out a breath, "What else?"

"Fine! Don't answer me. But then don't expect anything from me either." She dialed her own number from Feng Junjie's phone and saw it ringing in the drawer beside the bed.
Feng Jianyu's eyes followed her every move as she took her phone out and typed something, maybe a message. A minute later the phone beeped twice and one side of her lips curled upwards into a smirk. "I knew it!" She exclaimed.
"What is it?" Feng Jianyu asked.
"Jackie Chan invited me to dinner." She replied with a straight face.
"…."
"Jin, went on a mission!" Feng Jianyu gave up in front of her stubbornness. Anyways she has the right to know what he was doing behind her back.
"Country mission or yours?"
"Both! Mostly mine! He's working in collaboration with the government of different countries to destroy Yang Sheng's power. To date he has already destroyed more than ten illegal factories and many more are on the way."
"You actually send my brother in law to do something as dangerous as this? How dare you? Don't you know that Yang Shen…..!? Hold on!" She paused scolding Jianyu and asked, "Who is Yang Sheng? The man in the wheelchair."
"No! Yang Sheng is Yang Rucheng's son, the current leader of the Yang family. "…. Is my half brother. I know! Don't repeat that." She slopped down on the couch and passed her phone to Jianyu to let him see and mumbled resentfuly "Who needs a brother like him...I'm happy with three brothers-in-law."
Happiness flashed in Feng Junjie and Wang Shi's eyes seeing how easily she referred them as one of her own. What an amazing change In her attitude with Jianyu's few minutes of punishment.
Feng Jianyu took the phone but looked at Xiu Mei, who was still upset, "Don't worry about Jin; he is a strong military man. Though he's carrying my work, it's an official mission with full government support. Rest assured I'm keeping a tab on his moves. And as far as Yang Shao is concerned..." His voice went low and dangerous; a chill passed as he stroked his finger near Xiu Mei's fluttering eyelashes.
She knows what he meant by the uncompleted sentence but she doesn't have any intention to stop him.
She nodded, "Now, I understood the reason behind recent attacks on me. Probably they got panicked seeing their units getting destroyed, and hasten the plan against me."
"Speaking of recent backlash, how are we going to handle that? Don't forget the investigating officer is after Xiu Mei. She's the prime suspect. If it was not for your interference she would have been called for interrogation. " Wang Shi said.
"I already got proof that Xiu Mei didn't kill him." Feng Jianyu casually answered, reading the message on Xiu Mei's phone.
"Then release it in the press, what are you waiting for?"
"Explanation!"
Everyone "…" 'huh?'
"You are meeting dad tomorrow." Feng Jianyu said keeping the phone aside as he pulled her towards him, "Good! I'm looking forward to this face-off. Don't let him off easily!"

Just a moment ago, Xiu Mei tried her luck by aiming the target blindfolded.
Bulls-eye! It hit! Feng Dingxion replied within one minute, agreeing to meet her.
